Deptmer Ashley, MD, is the founder of Dakota Pulmonary and a highly skilled interventional pulmonologist. He completed his training in Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, within the world-renowned Texas Medical Center system alongside MD Anderson Cancer Center, where he honed his expertise in advanced bronchoscopy.
Since establishing Dakota Pulmonary, Dr. Ashley has excelled in the early detection and staging of lung cancer, achieving a diagnostic yield exceeding 96% and significantly improving his patients’ chances of successful treatment.
Beyond cancer care, he is known for the rapid, effective diagnosis and treatment of major lung conditions such as emphysema and COPD. Through Dakota Pulmonary’s robotic bronchoscopy program, he has brought procedures once limited to major medical centers to patients here in the Dakotas.
